School Families 2023-2024 Tuition Announcement

Dear NDA Families,

As we move toward the close of this school year and anticipate the new 2023-24 year, it is time to look
at the tuition tiers that were established for Notre Dame from its beginning.

Fr. Bill came here almost four years ago, and it was during that first year in March that Covid impacted
us and changed so many of the things that we were able to do.

While we don’t ignore the fact of Covid (or any other problems that impact our lives) it is now time to
have each of our St. Lawrence Parishioners who have a child(ren) in Notre Dame to respond to how they
have met the criteria of the school’s Handbook so that we can determine their tuition rate for 2023-24.

The Handbook states three factors for being considered an active member:

Is formally registered at one of the founding parishes,

Is a weekend worshiper who celebrates Mass with their children every weekend, (Exceptions are
allowed for illness, employment, travel, and blended family situations, however, the pastor must
be made aware of these circumstances prior to consideration of status for the next school year.)

Is a participant in parish stewardship of time, talent, and treasure. (One must sign up to serve
the parish through time, talent, and treasure on the parish intention card and honor the
commitment).

The Handbook states three factors for being considered an active member:

  1. Is formally registered at one of the founding parishes,
  2. Is a weekend worshiper who celebrates Mass with their children every weekend, (Exceptions are
allowed for illness, employment, travel, and blended family situations, however, the pastor must
be made aware of these circumstances prior to consideration of status for the next school year.)
  3. Is a participant in parish stewardship of time, talent, and treasure. (One must sign up to serve
the parish through time, talent, and treasure on the parish intention card and honor the
    commitment).

Regarding the 2nd factor above, the act of physically attending mass is of the utmost importance. While
the live stream has been a blessing, it is not capable of replacing the celebration of the Eucharist and
being in the physical presence of Christ.

With the help of the parish council, we have put together a simple sheet that I ask you to respond to how
you have fulfilled these criteria during our CURRENT school year. Please complete this form by March
24, 2023. Failure to complete the form will result in your status being changed to non-active. After
review, we can establish your tuition rate for the next school year. Please scan the QR code below or go
to https://forms.gle/gq3iqA8kxd5g9hPE9.

We are so blessed here at St. Lawrence to have so many of our young people be part of Notre Dame
Academy. Thank you for your devotion to St. Lawrence which allows us to keep our school strong.

In Christ,

Fr. Bill – Pastor
Matt Rasche – St. Lawrence Parish Council Chairperson
Aimee Burton – St. Lawrence Parish Council Co-Chairperson
